PLEASE NOTE: THIS CLASS MEETS DOWNSTAIRS. IF YOU WANT TO SIGN UP AND HAVE ANY MOBILITY ISSUES THAT WOULD PREVENT YOU FROM GOING UP AND DOWN STAIRS, PLEASE LET US KNOW AND WE WILL MAKE ARRANGEMENTS.

Whether you’re looking to put together a sketch packet, level up your TikTok comedy, perform live sketch comedy, or just have a fun collaborative writing experience, this class is for you!
In this course we will cover:
-Common sketch terms and types
-Proper script formatting
-Ways to generate ideas
-Tips on the writing process
-How to confidently pitch
-Writing/revising sketches
-Practical experience in a writers room setting
This class is for both experienced comedians and people just starting out - as long as you have a desire to write your own material, you are welcome. You will be required to write outside of class.
Refund Policy - Classes/Workshops
No refunds UNLESS we do not reach the 8 person minimum, in which case you will get a full refund or credit toward a future class. If you have to drop the class and it’s before the 5th meeting, we will issue a half credit for a future class good for 6 months. If you miss a workshop because of a positive Covid diagnosis, we will give you a credit for a future workshop good for 6 months.
Parking: Enter the main entrance to Urban Community School on W. 47th Street, south of Lorain Ave. Follow the driveway to the main oval parking lot in front of the red tower. You can park in any space marked with a green square. You can then follow the sidewalk to Lorain Ave. You will see Imposters directly across Lorain Ave. from the school.
