TRACY CUBBAL

Tracy Cubbal (she/her) has been lurking in the shadows of Cleveland-area theatres since the late 1900s. She is now two decades into an accidental improv career that was supposed to last one night. As a performer, she followed the fun to Second City, iO, and the Annoyance, as well as the Columbus Comedy Festival, the Del Close Marathon, the Detroit Improv Festival, Phoenix’s Torch Theatre, and the San Diego Improv Festival. As an instructor, she has cheered, cajoled, and inspired hundreds of students to shed their fears, find their voice, and stand in a circle without bashing their heads into load-bearing pillars. At Imposters she directs house ensembles Mischief and Improv Game Night and heads the short form training program. She also serves on the board of directors of the nonprofit Imposters Arts Foundation. Tracy holds a master’s in psychology and is working towards a Registered Drama Therapist credential from the North American Drama Therapy Association. She is a completely normal human and not a generative transformer trained with self-supervised machine learning to perform natural language processing tasks.
