Improv Level 1 & 2 Grad Night

Congrats to Improv Level 1 & 2 on a great graduation show! These students got out of their comfort zones in our 8-week improv training courses at Imposters Theater. Onto levels 3, 4, and 5!

This course is an introduction to long-form improvisation, based on the style developed by The iO Theater and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. We start with a focus on the fundamentals - agreement, listening, and support - as well as the thing that should come across in every scene: the fun. We will also get into things like establishing the reality of the scene, connecting with your scene partner, and playing with emotion.

In level 2, we focus on finding and building the comedy in our scenes, recognizing and playing the game of the scene organically, multi-person scenes, and game moves like walk-ons & tag-outs.
