Auditions will take place Sunday, July 12th 1-5 PM at 4828 Lorain Avenue in Ohio City, Cleveland.
Each person will be assigned a timeslot within that 4-hour block.
Callbacks, if necessary, will be Monday, July 13th 7-10 PM.
If you cannot attend, you may still fill out the form for consideration based on previous experience. Preference will be given to people who can audition in person.
All auditioners will be notified of our decision by Wednesday, July 15th.
Please read this document in its entirety before emailing info@imposterstheater.com with questions.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Auditions are open to those who have completed Improv Level 2 at Imposters Theater or have equivalent experience elsewhere.
The audition committee will consist of the artistic director, show directors, and producers.
Performers are welcome to be a part of multiple shows at the theater as long as they can commit to all rehearsal and performance obligations.
We are auditioning for a limited number of spots. We strive to guarantee that everyone has the opportunity to do improv at Imposters Theater and we want to stress that auditions are not the only way to get involved at our theater. If you are not cast for this show, we encourage you to continue attending our free jams, developing your skills in our classes and workshops, and submitting to community shows like Improv Death Match and Dynamic Duos. See the full list of shows you can submit to here.
PERFORMER EXPECTATIONS
This is a four month commitment, with twice-monthly performances on Thursday evenings September-December.
Harold teams must be a priority for team members.
You are expected to rehearse 2 times a month in order to improve and maintain the quality of performances, at least once with your team and once with the entire Harold Night company. Rehearsal dates will be decided based on team availability.
Team members must show they are open to notes from their coach and the Artistic Directors, and be willing to work at implementing those notes. Team members with a pattern of poor attendance or lateness will be removed.
Each improviser is expected to be a supportive team member and follow our code of conduct.
This is a four month commitment. After the Fall run, we will hold auditions for all new teams in the Spring run.
COMPENSATION
Rehearsal space and coaching will be provided by Imposters Theater.
You will also get a free performer pass to all regular shows that are not sold out.
